Jean Hoerni

Jean Hoerni developed the planar process, while working at the Fairchild Semiconductor, the planar process was a semiconductor industry used to build individual units of a transistor, and in turn, connect those components together. This is the process of how modern integrated circuits are built. They would eventually just take a piece of metal, and lay it over the entire device, and let it wire itself, so they do not have to manually wire it. Thus, making it easier, and run faster then it would if you would have to manually wire it.

This process that he invented made the chips in the computer smaller, but they would be able to hold more capacity of knowledge. Now, instead of computers being the size of an entire room, they can be set right on your lap. This process allows us to take our computers everywhere instead of just in one place. If Jean Hoerni would not have invented this process, we might still be using these ginormous computers, and we would not be able to advance into the future, thus creating difficulties in advanced learning, and web surfing. This would have impacted the lives of many teenagers, and younger adults, because we have more Internet knowledge, and computer knowledge, than most older adults.

QR thoughts

QR codes seem pretty cool, but only if you have a device that can read them. It is an easy way to sign up for a sweepstakes, or get free coupons. People can also use these for inspirational quotes, or advertisements! This is really cool, and a great leap into the future.
I could see teachers using these to have links to sites for extra credit, or additional notes and things like that. These little figures, could be used in a really cool way!

QR Photo.

Can you figure out what it says?

Personality Graphic

I chose this as my graphic representation of myself, because I love to sing, and listen to music all the time!

About Me

Hello, my name is Taylor! I love to sing in choir, and draw in my free time, I also love to play tennis, and listen to music. My favorite food is probably Goldfish! I love those little fishies! I also love the Bosco Sticks that they serve in the Cafeteria on Tuesdays! They are SO good! Something else I like is to hangout with my friends, they mean alot to me. We always have a good time! Drama is not my thing, so I always try to stay away from it! School is not where I would choose to be, but I drag myself here anyways. I love the summer months, and all the vacations my family and I take! They are always fun, and a really good time. My family and I are very close to eachother, so it is always fun to go hangout witht them for a week in some kind of paradise! I have two half sisters, and a step brother. I also have a nephew, who is 3 years old! Such a cutie! I am outgoing, and confident in what I say and do, and that has never been a lie.
